The Walpole Express are a Tier III Jr. ice hockey playing in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League (AJHL). The team plays their home games at the Iorio Arena, located in Walpole, Massachusetts.[1] The team is coached by former NHL player and coach, Mark Kumpel.[2] and Tony Dalessio
Since the 2008-09 season (the first season for Mark Kumpel and Tony Dalessio) the Express have won 2 AJHL North Division Championships, 1 Regular Season Championship and 2 AJHL President's Trophies for Playoff Champions.
The organization also field a team at the Jr.B level in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and a Midget U18 and U16 teams in the Mass South Select Midget Legaue.
The Walpole Express have produced a number of alumni playing in higher levels of, NCAA Division I, Division III college and professional programs.[3]
